Students have a social studies test tomorrow. There are three parts:
Part 1: Matching
Students will match their 25 vocabulary notes to the definitions. I have stressed to the students not to memorize the definitions, but instead, make sure they understand the definitions. We have started every class period since last Tuesday by reviewing the vocabulary. All words and definitions are in your child's notebook.
Part 2: Life in the British Colonies
Students will write two sentences about life in colonial towns and cities, two sentences about life on a plantation, and two sentences about life on the frontier. We spent the entire class period today working on this.
Part 3: Writing
Your child will write a paragraph about where he/she would have wanted to live if they had been a British colonist. I will assist by helping them with a topic and closing sentence (if they need it). We discussed this in great detail today.
